Blue Skies Reggae Foundation’s mission is dedicated to supporting the next generation of reggae musicians to help keep the roots of reggae alive and inspire the world. Through our initiatives, we strive to level the playing field, create more opportunities, access, and visibility world-wide for underserved talented reggae musicians, educate and provide legal and technical support to ensure their music is their own.

By focusing on and helping local talent succeed in the music industry, many emerging artists were given a platform to showcase their talents. Jamaica is the home of Reggae music, and it is not a surprise that the country has produced some of the most celebrated Reggae musicians in the world, including Bob Marley, Toots and the Maytals, Burning Spear, Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry and Jimmy Cliff.
In the early days of reggae, local radio DJs would spin and promote up-and-coming reggae artists, but in this modern era, much more is needed for vast reach and sustainability. To continue to foster reggae music and cultivate local talents, initiatives such as record labels, live events and partnerships with international brands are important.
